A First Time for Everything

On May 5, 1750, KING RICHARD 3, by William Shakespeare, was presented in New York City, the first production of the Bard’s works in North America.

The script was ‘altered’ for the USA. It’s a mighty electrifying play, and needed a little cleaning up for the paying public.

It must have gone over well, since it was produced here again and again. And again.
