When We are young, most of Us have an Invisible Friend. The I.F. is always delighted to see Us, to do whatever looks like a good time. Often they are a bit more powerful than We are, which can give us a boost when We need it. When We are small, a little backing is appreciated. They never need a nap. Or a Time Out.
Most I.F.s have names, but not all. They don’t leave a scent trail. We can smell them, but nobody else can. If they could, the Friends wouldn’t be Invisible, right?
Mothers’ noses are very keen, so you see how clever I.F.s need to be.
